We just returned from nearly a month long mission in Thailand. We preached, taught, trained and ministered what seemed to be day and night. From Bangkok to Mae Sot to Chiang Mai and to remote villages, the power and presence of God changed people’s lives!
The Empower Thailand Team has been engaged in many fruitful mission projects and they were thrilled to take us to see their phenomenal progress.
We conducted church services, leadership training seminars, evangelistic meetings and spent quality time with our staff and missionaries—not to mention providing oversight to the operational side of Empower Thailand. We also had a blast visiting orphanages and taking the children special gifts.
There were so many highlights on this trip that it’s hard to choose just one to tell you about.
One of the greatest blessings to us was the time we ministered in Bangkok. Since moving there in 2003, Bangkok has found a special place in our hearts. With over 17 million people and not a lot of work among the Thai people of Thailand, we seize every opportunity to connect with others who work among them.
We were so blessed to preach in the Life Church Bangkok Sunday services in two different locations. The church is primarily young college age people. We were so excited to see so many young, on-fire, totally into Jesus, young people in this church! So many of them were new in their walk with Jesus, but show the signs of being His true disciples.
There is an awakening and a new curiosity for the things of God within the young generation in Asia! And, we intend to be right in the middle of the revival that God is bringing to the region!
